KAG Robotics was formed in 2005 to provide consulting, controls design, and customer automation / robotics programming by Keith Given. Keith previously worked as a robot and automation programmer beginning in 1996.
KAG Robotics enjoyed moderate success programming custom machines designed by other companies. In early 2010, motivated by a need from one of our biggest customers, KAG Robotics expanded its business model to include custom machine design and fabrication. We are now capable of delivering complete turnkey automation systems as well as the integration of equipment into existing production lines.
KAG Robotics uses SolidWorks 3D modeling software to design machines, cutting down on design time and costs, while providing the customer with a level of confidence in the design that is not achievable using 2D design methods. Special Challenges are involved when making a completely custom piece of automation equipment. Using SolidWorks helps to find and eliminate mistakes in the design stage before the machine is fabricated and assembled. This lowers the risk, cost and lead-time associated with building a custom machine.
